Jobs for Montana’s
Graduates Foundation
Jobs for Montana’s Graduates Foundation (JMGF) was established to support the mission and goals of Jobs for Montana’s Graduates (JMG).
The Foundation goals are to:
- Provide Scholarships for Graduating Seniors to pursue post-secondary education and/or training. Many of the JMG students are not eligible for other scholarships. Donations to JMGF can help to provide additional scholarships to JMG graduates.
- Provide Scholarships to Attend the National Leadership Conference in Washington D.C. Each year JMG sends students to the December Conference – a 4-day training session on leadership, communication and workplace skills. Students are selected through an essay-writing competition. Cost of airfare, lodging, meals, and conference registration is $1,000 per student. Donations to JMGF can help send students to Washington D.C.
“JMG turned my son’s life around…after winning a trip to Washington D.C., he began to participate in class, talk with students in the halls, decided he could go to school, and pulled his grades up enough to gain college acceptance…Thank you.” – JMG parent
- Send Students to the JMG Statewide Leadership Conference where they will develop leadership, employment and teamwork skills. It costs approximately $100 per student for travel, lodging, meals, and conference registration. Donations to JMGF can help sponsor students to attend this conference.
- Send Students to the Statewide Career Development Conference where they will attend workshops and compete in job-skill based events such as public speaking, life math skills, employment preparation, web page design, power point presentations, and telephone techniques. The cost is $150 each.
- Support Local JMG Programs that teach students employability skills and establish career goals. JMG provides each school a minimum grant of $3,000. Donations to JMGF can help support a school in your community.
“JMG has given me the tools I need to build myself a successful future. It has taught me that even though I am a teen mom of two, that doesn’t mean I have no future..., I have to believe in myself and work for it.” DCHS student
